How do I turn off the comments on a specific page using my dashboard not CSS? I want comments removed from my static home page.

    Thank you.

    1)WP Dashboard>Pages
2)Hover over your Home Page entry
    3)Edit/Quick Edit/Trash/View = QE
    4)Untick the Allow Comments box

Assuming it is resolved, can you set this as [resolved] please. (Dropdown in right sidebar) Helps monitoring what problems are still outstanding. Thanks.

How to remove them from every page?

In Customiz'it! > Comments. Uncheck the checkbox.

that checkbox is for comments on pages, not on posts.

Try Dashboard > Settings > Discussion > "Allow people to post comments on new articles" > Uncheck.

(I know I've switched all mine off; just trying to figure out how!)

I don't know why, but it's working now. Maybe because of the recent update?

Hi what does Edit/Quick Edit/Trash/View = QE mean?

    I find Edit/Quick Edit/Trash/View but no QE ?

I am trying to remove it from my home page which is currently sitting as a static post.

    It means select Quick Edit.

    Sorry to confuse you!

Sorry I still don't understand how to remove it from the home page of my wordpress site. I am using a post as a static page.

    @Jeffims,
1.Just go to your site, example: http://www.siteaddress.com/wp-admin/
    2.Log in
3.Dsshboard>pagess>all pages>hover your desired page>click on Quick Edit
4.At the right side bottom, remove the tick mark(said allow comment)and click on update button.

May be it can help you.

    Bk

The widest global solution is to set up at http://www.gravatar.com. This gravatar will be adopted by WP, apps etc

    1) Start a new thread before the Moderators jump on you for adding to an old post with no connection to your question!

    2) Read the documentation here . You need the section about front page design

    Using these instructions...
    1)WP Dashboard>Pages
2)Hover over your Home Page entry
    3)Edit/Quick Edit/Trash/View = QE
    4)Untick the Allow Comments box

The Allow Comments is already unchecked yet, I still see Recent Comments on my Homepage. Is there a global setting that I need to disable elsewhere? Any help greatly appreciated. (Using the Avada theme)

This is the Customizr WordPress forum. Avada may be different. As it's a paid theme you should get support on the Avada support forum.
