   Man this is driving me crazy. I have installed the theme HeatMap Pro Theme Light, along with the Yoast WordPress SEO Plugin.

   I have spent way too much time browsing forums and changing html code, but it still won't show up only once, it's always twice.

   Can somebody help me, please!

   Having the same problem
   Title is look like that: "Site Title thenSite Description then again Site Title :@ UPDATE rox :P

   Check the "force rewrite" button on the SEO -> Titles page.

   Sorry boss. I have tried several variations checking the "force rewrite" button, unchecking it, changing html in header.php, and it still shows the title twice. I really don't know what to do. I've even uninstalled the plugin and theme and re-installed. Still does the same thing.

   I'm having the same problem. Changed title tag in header.php, turned force rewrite on and off... but i'm still seeing double.

   I fixed it now by removing the site tile and tagline at wordpress' general settings and typing them in the SEO plugin, but this is of course not how it is supposed to be.

   Would really appreciate some help. Anyone?

   Well today i had the same problem. Ive used Yoast SEO and also did force rewrite ...didnt work...but:

   empty cache and tada :)

   I've had this issue before with certain themes. Sometimes you just have to dig deep into the theme files and figure out where the theme itself is creating a title to "help" you. It's often really buried and not just in the header.php file.
