Trying to remove a slideshow... (4 posts)

    I'm using a free theme for non-profits and love the theme except for one feature.
    http://www.caringforcauses.us

    I'm kind of a newb with css and html and was using Firebug to inspect the html...still couldn't really figure out how to remove it. The theme's menu in Admin mode doesn't give me an option to do this.

    Thanks for the help...

  2. You'll need to find the file that calls in this code:

    <div style="overflow: hidden;" id="slideshow">

    		<ul  id="slides">
                      <!-- If no slides created, display placeholder -->
                        	<li><img src="http://caringforcauses.us/wp-content/themes/foundation/foundation/images/no_slides.png"></li>
    		</ul>
    	</div>

    ... and remove it. It may be in index.php or elsewhere in your theme files. You will see more code than this but this is the container for the slideshow - once it and everything in between it is gone, your slideshow/placeholder should disappear.

    So far I haven't found the exact code you mentioned. The only code I could find that related to "slideshow" was in the Header.php file:
