Trying to load the easy recipe plugin.
Downloaded the zip file.
used the plugin add new to upload the aip file to my blog address.
it loaded and installed but could not find it in my plugin directory.
Shutdown and restarted my whole system.
Tried to reloaded it and got the message:
Destination folder already exists. /data/26/2/51/19/2377182/user/2608659/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/easyrecipe
Using FTP deleted easyrecipe from wp-contents/plugins
restarted my suystem.
Tried to reload the plugin.
get the same message:
Destination folder already exists. /data/26/2/51/19/2377182/user/2608659/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/easyrecipe
How do I fix this problem?
It could be a couple of things, but if the easyrecipe directory exists within your plugin directory but isn't showing up on the plugins page, then perhaps not all the files in the zip file got expanded.
The plugin itself doesn't perform the "install" process, WordPress does.
What version of WP are you using? DO you know what PHP version you have?

Thank you for the reply.
Found my problem. Somehow in the loading and unloading of WordPress I ended up with multiple versions of wp-contents. one existed as a first level directory ouside of wordpress and one as a sub-directory of wordpress. I think I've cleaned it up and can now load, delete, activate and access the settings of Easy Recipe plugin. It still does not work but I'm getting closer.
