Trying to install themes – no images show up

    I’m new to this whole blogging thing.

    I’m trying to install themes. I download, unzip, upload to themes folder and then go back to wordpress and click on theme that I just uploaded. When I preview it, none of the images come up. What am I doing wrong?

    are you uploading the image directories?

    does that exist? are there images in it?

    wordpress/wp-content/themes/grunge/images/

    ^^ thats what you are looking for if you are using a filemanager like cpanel’s or via ftp. Come back and let us know what you see.

    I’m having the same problem using the “Dark Smoke” theme… The “Images” folder is in place, containing “headline.jpg”. Also in the “Manage Themes” page there are only placeholders showing, no preview of any of the themes.
