    I have a child theme of twenty twelve. I activated it and it worked.

    Now I'm trying to edit the theme

    by using

    body .site {
    		padding: 0 40px;
    		padding: 0 2.857142857rem;
    		margin-top: 480px;
    		margin-top: 3.428571429rem;
    		margin-bottom: 48px;
    		margin-bottom: 3.428571429rem;
    		box-shadow: 0 2px 6px rgba(100, 100, 100, 0.3);
    	}

    Even after I press update file. The space at the top is still the same.

    Am I missing something?

    P.S. The margin-top is originally 48px. I have changed it to 480px

    @clouder

    Why do you have 2 padding, margin-top and margin-bottom ?
    Only the last one loaded will apply, Get rid of one.
