I had installed WordPress and was setting up a site. I also installed a theme. I edited the site, menus, etc. I had the site ready to launch and wanted to have it load when someone typed my URL. I couldn't figure out how to get that to work so I backed up all of the files and just did a clean install of wordpress on my server. So basically I am starting from scratch. What I want to know is am I able to get all of the editing that I originally did back?

I don't know where all of the info I entered is stored. I have pages for my personal bio that I typed, product lists... basically I want all the information I typed in. (not code)

Did you make a backup copy of your database?

Basically I downloaded everything that was in the WP (WordPress) folder from my server

That wasn't enough :-( WordPress stores all of your site's content in your database - not in any files. Unless you still have access to that original database, I'm afraid all of your previous content is toast,

On the remote server. Your hosts should be able to assist with this.
