I am having a problem with my RSS Feed. I get the following message when I click on http://www.charlottesvveb.com/feed

This page contains the following errors:

error on line 323 at column 25: Extra content at the end of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

    It’s a self-hosted site on Network Solutions.

I had a look in the forums and they suggested it could be because of cache plugins. I had a few installed a while ago and they broke the site. I had removed them but I’ve gone back through my FTP and noticed a few rogue cache folders so I deleted those.

I then deactivated all plugins. It still didn’t work.

I read somewhere that it could be a htaccess/permalinks issue.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I have tried deactivating all plugins but even with no plugins it still didn’t work.

If I switch theme will I lose the settings on my Arras theme?

How do I reset the plugin folder? I downloaded it (the zip as well as the proper folder) and got rid of things that I no longer used etc. Really stripped it back. And then reuploaded but that didn’t work either.

    Thanks for your help Esmi

No. Any changes are only temporary.

How do I reset the plugin folder?

Please see the link I posted above.

Thanks Esmi. I tried changing theme but it still didn’t work. In process of removing all plugins via FTP using Cyberduck. Guess will see if that works.
