Trying To Exclude Pages with Mantra Theme (3 posts)

I am new to WP and have been looking for the solution to this for a while.

I am using the Mantra theme, not tied to it but it looks close to what I want. I created some pages to be main 'header' links.

I also want a sidebox of a few links which would be simple pages.

I cannot figure how to exclude pages from the main header, I have read everything about wp_list_pages but I cannot see where to apply it in my theme. Also if pages are excluded how then would I add it to the sidebox?

    Confused so any help useful.

Are you using the Pages Widget? If so, then add the pages you do not want displayed by id in the widget settings. To get the page id, Admin Dashboard>Pages>All Pages> Hover over a page title in the list and look in the browser status bar below for the url being displayed while hovering, the id #(s) is shown there to include in widget setup, separated by commas.

Hi, yes I am using the Pages Widget, problem is if I create a page it is automatically added to the header area so I installed pageMash which either hides or allows pages, problem is it hides a page from everywhere - header and sidebox.

So for example I create Page A, B and C.

I want page A and B on the header but not C, page C is to be shown in the sidebox.

For that reason I just wanted to exclude some pages from each area, I don't really care how I do it, editing the code would be fine.
