   Trying to create a band name database page where I can have the alphabet on the top of the page and when you click on a letter like b all the bands with letter b will show up. I am new to wordpress and html but on a fast learning curve. Been thrown in head first.

   Want to turn the list into a separate page that people don't have to scroll.

   You might try organizing your bandlist in an interactive table. You can easily accomplish this using the WP Tables Reloaded plugin. Hope that helps.

   create a category for each letter and then if your theme will allow it create a menu and add the alphabetical categories to it... that's what i did on one of my sites
