Trying to add items to a menu, but the menu may be created outside of WordPress (3 posts)

Hi, I'm helping a friend to update her WordPress website (at csourcewisdom.com) because the person who built her website can't be contacted any more. The problem is that I can't figure out how to add a link to the navigation menu, despite reading the Codex information about menus. I'm wondering if the problem is that the menu wasn't built within the WordPress Dashboard's Appearance/Menus functionality, since the menu doesn't even appear in the Appearance/Menus area.

I'm hoping someone can tell me what the problem might be, and if the menu was built using hand-coding for example, how I might be able to edit it.

The Theme being used by the site is the Twenty Ten theme.

You can look around the theme files to see if there is any menu hardcoded in there. If it is a the top of the page I'd start looking around the header file.

The Theme being used by the site is the Twenty Ten theme.

Re-upload a fresh copy of the theme and try.
