• I am using the Crystal theme/genesis.

I am trying to add some html code that readers can grab to add to their blogs. New to WordPress but in the past on my other site I just used:

<textarea> html code here </textarea> and then the html code shows up in a box that scrools.

Trying to add it on my posts now in WordPress it just strips the code away and displays the actual object!

I tried <code> and <pre> still didn’t work! Looked like this:

    <code><a href="http://www.blogaholicdesigns.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://images.blogaholicnetwork.com/buttons/breast%20cancer/Save%20Them%20All.png" alt="Blogaholic Designs”=" /></code>

How can I add html code to a post- html code that displays as html code?

    Example here: http://blogaholicdesigns.com/free-fall-blog-buttons/

The button on the right should be code not the actual button?

  • WordPress doesn’t allow native source code pasting if i’m right.

You should look for a dedicated plugin to do so. This way you will have a specific shortcode to add to your page.

I tried a few plug-ins and they work BUT they give me this huge, wide section of code. I just need a small grey box behind the code with a scroll bar!

I want the code I posted above in a small box?

    Like I have it here:

The way I got it to work here is I pasted it all into html added BUT the minute I accidentally hit visual it wiped out all my code and I hadn’t saved it! I can’t chance that every time! I have tons of pages with code like this.

    Please help!!!!!
