    Got me stumped.

    See http://www.be-awesome.org/Archive%20Slugs/

Above confirms forums exist (BBpress) not BuddyPress) but I have no idea how I got to above page or how to add to the menu. Any help appreciated.

In the dashboard > appearance > menus you'll find in the right sidebar a box that will allow you to ad custom links to your menu.

    Removing items from the menu?
    dashboard > appearance > menus > detail-arrow > delete the item.

Install the plugin Page Links To, activate it. Make a new page called Forum. Write nothing on the page (just title Forum) Go to the Page links box under where you write the page. Click on the box saying An alternate URL and in the drop down put in http://www.be-awesome.org/Archive%20Slugs/

Publish the page. Go to your menu and put the page “Forum” on the menu and save.
That tab Forum will now bring you to the forum.
