    re restrict content …basic edition

How does one trust a free wp plugin that isn’t updated for over a year … while publishing several newer free add-ons published that are paired with other plug-ins but require the paid version …

is that supposed to be good marketing?

    3.8?

is the timestamp just not posted as current on “basic edition” ?

  • Does it work with WP 3.8: yes.

Has it been updated in the last year? No.

The reason is simple: the plugin works perfectly as is for what it is designed to do and has never required any update within the last year.

Just because a plugin hasn’t been updated doesn’t mean it can’t be trusted.

The newer add-ons I’ve published are all for the Restrict Content Pro plugin, which is (aside from the name) a completely different plugin. It is a commercial product that I actively develop.
