Truncating Tags (4 posts)

I have an extremely long tag... over 100 characters (don't ask... long tag, long story...) anyway, it's getting truncated at 55 characters.

I am using the Simple-Tags plug-in, but I'm not sure if it's IT (not much support on it) or just WP. I think it's probably just WP.

Anyone know how to remove the character limit on tags?

I still haven't figured this out... anyone have any ideas?

well, since you can grep the core WP files for the number 55 and see that there is nothing that comes up that is related to tags..

and you can look inside simple-tags.php (there are 2 of these btw, when I googled for the plugin) and see three occurrences of the number 55..

I would guess its the plugin, dontcha think?

Yeah, you'd think that would be so easy to find.

There are literally 3 places in the simple-tags plug-in that reference "55"... changing those does nothing.

There are a few more places in the WP code... changing them does nothing.

I'm thinking there is something somewhere else... maybe even something in the MySQL or something intrinsic in an input form. Maybe I just need to replace the forms with text boxes?
