I'm using WP-O-Matic to automatically post to my blog via RSS I choose. But some feeds are full-text and so I end up with a whole article on my homepage - yuck. I have selected the "Summary" option in wordpress but that doesn't help.
Any way to force wordpress to truncate every post? Maybe a plugin to set maximum length for posts?

Help? I would think that this is a common problem but I'm surprised to find nothing...no plugin, wordpress feature...

I'm not really familiar with WP-O-Matic but you could probably go into your theme and replace the_content() with the_excerpt() which would force it to show a shortened version. This would probably be in your index.php or archive.php file.

Works perfect! I know there must be a plugin, knowing how pragmatic the WP community is. Thank you for hunting it down for me aaron!
