Troubleshooting By Deactiving Plug Ins (4 posts)

    Hello,

    I am having an issue my WP site that uses the Dynamix premium theme from Theme Forest. What is happening is that all of the accordions and tabs are open.

    I have been told this is a jQuery problem. The support forum at Northvantage has recommended that I deactivate each plug in, one by one and see which one is the problem.

    I did that but the problem is still there. Is there some sort of process to properly deactivate plug ins for such diagnosis or is it as simple as just turning it off and then back on?

    Sometimes you may need to empty the plugin directory entirely. Copy everything in the plugins directory to your hard disk via FTP and then delete them from the server.

    But...

    1. Have you disabled Javascript in your browser? Maybe by accident?
    2. Have you updated WordPress recently?
    3. Are you using a caching plugin? Even disabled some of those may leave files around that could effect the site.

    Have you tried using firefox+firebug and check it in "console" tab. This will tell you if there are any jQuery errors when loading the page. You will see where and why these errors happened.

    Hmmm....

    Some errors that state ' jQuery is not defined' and 'Cufon is note defined' (that one is there twice).
