Trouble with uploading images on an IIS server (3 posts)

    Long-time listener, first-time caller...

I'm in the midst of setting up my first WordPress-powered site. So far, so good. I've hit one snag, though.

I'm using WordPress 2.0 on IIS, running PHP 5.

Say I'm working with a post, and I try to use the Upload tool to add an image. I select the file, give it a title and description, and when I click "Upload," the page refreshes, but I'm left with a normal, blank Upload area. No more tabs, no showing the new image.

I've checked, and the file is uploaded to the server, to /wp-content/uploads/ as specified in the Options tab.

On my test site running locally on my Mac (using MAMP for Apache, PHP, MySQL) it loads fine, so I can see what's supposed to happen.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for what I assume seems to be a problem brought about by either IIS or my server configuration in general? Haven't found a whole lot on the subject so far.

    Mattthomas:
I am running a similar setup and had a Mac user with a similar problem a couple of days ago. I did not make the connection to IIS, but having them switch browsers from safari to firefox seemed to do the trick. I am traveling with my pc today instead of my mac so I cannot test it myself... I would be very interested in hearing your solution if you get one.

    Thanks for the reply!

Just to clarify, the problem happens cross-platform, but only on the site served by IIS. On my test site, served with Apache, the uploader works as expected in both Safari and Firefox.

Anyone know of settings I should check when it comes to uploading on IIS? It's odd, since the image gets put in the right place, it just doesn't appear within WordPress...
