trouble with sociable sprite and css (3 posts)

Hi, I'm having problems with the sociable plugin. I just installed it, and the appearance on my site opticalreflection.com is not acceptable.

I'm getting borders around the image, underlines, and the sprite isn't displaying correctly - the display area is larger than the icon, so I can see the edge of the icons on the right and below.

I've tried changing the way it looks with the stylesheet - specifically, I've tried setting the text decoration on .sociable img a to none, and the border to none - but it doesn't seem to work.

Also, the stylesheet says it's inactive in the editor whether it's activated or not. And even though it claims to be inactive, some of my changes are holding (I turned off sprites and made the images larger, and also removed the transparency, and those changes worked).

Is there a simple explanation for this odd behaviour? And if so, what do I do?

    Thanks for any help. Pauline

    Hi Pauline,

I'm having the same problem you had with the Sociable plugin: I don't want any text decoration on the images (for example: http://www.hetideevangeld.nl/log/index.php/2010/02/geldloze-fantasie/). Looking at your current website, I guess you have mastered the problem. How did you do it?

Thanks for your help! Kinds regards,
    Ralph
