Trouble with "Setlist" theme (5 posts)

I purchased the "Setlist" theme and installed onto http://djjoestick.com/wordpress/ .Now I am getting little to no help from the creator. The Facebook and Twitter widgets integrated into the theme only work on "featured articles" in the slider on main page. Other than that they are dormant.

The widgets cannot be altered by the user, telling you only "there are no options for this widget". http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/507/gorilla3.jpg/

Just curious if anyone has ever ran into this with the theme, or any other one. Thanks.

I see the Facebook and Twitter widgets in the sidebar on your pages. For example here: http://djjoestick.com/wordpress/?page_id=53

Can you provide more details regarding what you are trying to accomplish?

I finally got a reply from the Theme's creator and they were able to resolve the issue for me. I still couldn't tell you what that issue was, but they seemed to find a work around for me. Thanks for the reply though!

    Hi PostL

Could you tell me how you are getting on with that theme please?

I'm considering purchasing it but wonder if it is as easy as they make it out to be and whether I can get away with just the essential package or if I should buy there standard version.

Could I see your site please?

    thanks
    Malc

    Malkers,

I have a client whose site I set up (and continue to manage) that uses the Setlist theme.

Overall, it's been a decent theme to work with and has gotten the job done however there are a few limitations. Our biggest challenge has been the featured posts that show up on the home page slideshow. These posts are a separate from the standard WordPress posts and do not show up in the main posts ('news') section of the site. Not a big deal except that the only way for a user to find these posts is through the homepage slideshow or a site search. They do not show up in any other category or post list page. This isn't how I would have built the theme nor would have chosen to buy it if I had known this previous to purchase.

This might not be an issue for you but I've noticed on the seller's support forum that I'm not alone in finding this frustrating.

Other than this the theme works pretty much as advertised. If those are the features you're looking for, go for it.
