• When I write this:
    “What ever”
    The first quote-character turns into a: “
But the closing one turns into a: “
    So this is the result:
    “What ever”
    Whats up? Im usng UTF-8.

Are you saying when you type, or when the post is displayed after being published? It’s hard to tell without a link to your site.

    My site is currently offline.
Okay, this is typed in “comments” on an article by a visitor:
    “Hey dude”
…which is transformed by WordPress (or something else) into this:
    “Hey dude”.
It looks kinda wierd with that quote, doesnt it? I wonder why this happends.

This is driving me nuts. Here is a live example:

If you turn comments on, or point me to post that allows comments, I’ll take a look.

I’ve got the same problem, but it’s slightly different. The quote problem happens to me in my posts, maybe comments too, haven’t tested it. Here is a post with the problem:

    Calculating Human Oxymorons

    The weird part?
The quotes in “Take me to a paleontologist. are perfect, but

“preferred over all others” has weird quotes.

Usually the quotes end up weird and not perfect though. All I did was type that stuff and click publish, nothing else special.

Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround? Thanks.
