I've been using multisite for months and have created several subdomains. All of them are working except one all of a sudden and I get this: Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@recipe-and-wine-reviews.worksavvyfreedom.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache mod_fcgid/2.3.6 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at recipe-and-wine-reviews.worksavvyfreedom.com Port 80

I've contacted my host, hostgator, and they can't seem to fix the problem. I see the images from my subdomain: recipe-and-wine-reviews.worksavvyfreedom.com in my file manager under wp-content, blog.dir. but I really don't know what I'm doing. Please help. I've already deactivated my plugins and that didn't fix the problem.

http://recipe-and-wine-reviews.worksavvyfreedom.com/ works fine for me. What's not happening?

I see that my host may have reinstalled wordpress but I can't get into the dashboard of my subdomain: http://recipe-and-wine-reviews.worksavvyfreedom.com. When I select dashboard from my admin site it takes me to this url page: http://worksavvyfreedom.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F (says no update required, your database is already up-to-date.

I'm afraid all my content is missing and don't know how to get it back.

    Please help!

Ask your host. All that data is stored in your database, and that shouldn't have been touched.

Thank you for your response. Although I'm a bit confused, is there a separate database within WordPress for all of my content? I've searched and searched in my cpanel for content postings and all I found were the images I uploaded. Keep in mind, the files are stored on my main directory since I use the wildcard symbol instead of adding individual subdomains so it all seems a bit confusing on what is what.

Would you happen to know where the content is stored when using multi-site with wordpress and activating the wildcard symbol on cpanel?

    Thanks again.

If all you see are your images, then you're not looking at the database but the file system. Two separate things :)

You have to use phpMyAdmin or another DB tool to look at your database.

The actual content (posts and pages) has always been stored within the database - even SINGLE WordPress works this way.
