I am a newbie to the world of blogging. Is there a plug in to install to get Google Adsense?

How do I get it installed in WP 2.7?

I don't have to set up Adsense first then?

I've read about having to insert HTML Code and such.

Do I have to sign up for an account before I install plug-ins?

I'm confused. I guess thats what being a newbie is.

You have to first have a website, then you apply for Adsense with Google, after you are approved, you can then generate the html ad code to paste into your site.

    Start here: http://www.google.com/adsense

But there isn't a plug-in that will do the pasting for me is there?

Is there a way to add the code through WordPress?

You paste your Adsense code into the plugin's settings page and it then adds it to your site.

Is there a particular Plug-in that any one would like to recommend? I couldn't begin to guess which one to use. And do these plug-ins come with instructions on how to use them?

On the plugins search page, check the number of downloads, number of ratings, and average rating to find the popular and widely used ones. As for instructions, check the plugin's page/site for them and download the plugin file to look at the read me files.

I don't use an Adsense plugin myself because I'm comfortable editing and styling my theme files to add ads.
