I just moved from GoDaddy hosting to HostICan and when I try to upload an image to the site I get...
Unable to create directory [URL]. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
...I changed the permissions # for my wp-content folder (tried, 777 and some others) and it still didn't make a difference. What should I try next?

in your dashboard menu, look at
Settings / Miscellaneous
see what folder is in "Store uploads in this folder"
Make sure that folder exists, and that its permissions are set correctly. If it doesn't exist, create it yourself. Then see if you can upload images.

Ok, made sure the URL was correct, created the folder, and when I upload images they're blank.
How come?

Also, it made all the images on my homepage go wacko. I changed it back.
Any help is much appreciated.
