   I have uploaded all the files, made necessary changes to the config file and I have changed the permissisions. But when attempting to go to the site it simply wants me to download a file. Whats up?

   Weird... Try uploading everything again. Did you do it to the root of your domain?

   I have uploaded it twice and it is in the root of my domain. The same results each time.

   and what happens if you try to open any other .php files -- like a phpinfo.php file?

   add this to your .htaccess:

   AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .html .htm .php

   I have no dea where either of those files are or how to add that.

   ok, then have the person who manages the server do it.
