    http://www.horizonindy.org

    Problem: Very slow site.
Solution?: Plugins? Doesn't seem so. If you run a FireBug Net test on it, the darn thing takes ages to load, nearly eight seconds, but what it identifies as taking the first five seconds is just horizonindy.org, not any file or anything. Unsure of what this means.

Try running it through http://tools.pingdom.com/ if you don't have FireBug.

    Any ideas would be great!

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
