Trouble adding blogroll to alt page (6 posts)

    When I paste this:

    <?php get_links(category, 'before', 'after','between', show_images, 'order', show_description,show_rating, limit, show_updated, echo); ?>

    OR THIS

    <?php get_links_list('name'); ?>

    into the text area on a new page (Admincenter=>write=>new page), and save it, the <? and ?> are turned into <!-- and --> respectively, making the whole thing into a comment.

    How do I make it stop doing that so that my blogroll displays? Or, is there some other way of doing this?

    Thanks,
    Laura

    By the way, we just installed WordPress this morning, so it's the brand new version, 2.0.4.

    It's been a few days and other peoples' questions have been answered, but not mine. Perhaps I'm not being clear?

    I want to put my blogroll on a separate page that I created for it, and when I try to put the code there, the system changes it into a comment (see above), and won't display the blogroll.

    I'd really like to get this fixed so that I can make my new blog public. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Laura

    Although you can put Template Tags and PHP code into a Page Template, you cannot put these into the content of a Page and expect them to run.

    I figured that first part out on my own when it didn't work. I couldn't tell you how many times I must have read the page you reference, but it didn't click until now. LOL Doh. :-D

    Thank you!
