i went to check out pingomatic.com, and when i clicked on the link to their 'stats' page, my av program (nod32) popped up a red alert that the file 'http://pingomatic.com/stats/' contained the 'Win32/Exploit.MS06-006' trojan and prompted me to terminate it. this happened in both ie6 and firefox 1.5.

i looked around the pingomatic site, but could find no link there to contact anybody about this; i also searched these forums for references to it and found none. i thought that, since wordpress uses pingomatic as their default update sevice, someone here must know someone there, and regular wordpress users should know about this.

Why don't you send an email to "postmaster@pingomatic.com" and see what happens. Mailservers are required (RFC822, RFC1123 and RFC2821) to have “postmaster” inboxes.
