No subscription notifications now. I'm thinking on deactivating it hoping that that will divorce the merge of the host and WordPress on my blog. wp-login is how I need to control it now, it finally clicked. Help would be greatly appreciated. It's been like this for months now.

Something's getting lost in translation. You need to host a WordPress blog. If you want to change webhost, backup database and server folders, plus export XML for extra measure. http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

On my web hosting control panel is a database backup that was made in 2009, the last time I think I had a problem similar to this problem and it was fixed. The earliest backup I have from the backup database plugin is 12-18-10. But since I've been updating through my site's web hosting control panel, I'm a bit leery about messing it up more.

Too late, I thought if I restored it to the date of my last successful manual backup made it would be fixed. Now it's a blank page, how can I open a recent database backup from an email so I can hopefully get back my corrupted blog. The entries were lost for 2010 with this restoration, also 4 subscribers.

Mercime,
I'm sorry for wasting your time, your help is greatly appreciated. Is it too late now that I tried my thing and not yours. I don't necessarily want to deactivate it, I just thought that that might be a step if it came down to it. It might be the easiest thing to do now.
Thank you,
Contact webhosting tech support and see if they have a snapshot or backup of your database. Or better yet, see if they can restore your setup to before you made the changes to your database.

Here's something, nothing is wrong with my host, they have me sign in to wordpress.org. That means I have been updating the way I should be. I thought the difference of how I got to my blog manager mattered. Now it's to it's 2009 self but no changes in the actions of my blog.

Ok, I'm back to yesterday's database backup. The database is corrected but still the subscription2-6.1 plugin will not notify my subscribers, how can we tackle that.
Thank you,
Robert

can I downgrade? Is it different than upgrading? Compatibility was again my issue. 3.0.1 is the most I can go with subscribe2-6.1. I had to see it, it took a few looks to finally come to the same conclusion.
Thank you for your time,
Robert

Is downgrading to 3.0.1 difficult, I have a backup of my blog, 2009 is the latest. What files should I change? unless a downgrade is possible, which I couldn't find any documentation on.
You can download WP version 3.0.1 from http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/

Now PHP needs to be installed or running. I tried extracting 4.3(VC9-86) to my c: after I went through the installer, but I can't open the wp-admin\install.php.

I downloaded Textpad to view the file(s). I'm continuing the 5 minute install.

On second thought, after reading how to upgrade 3.0.1, I will wait for your reply.
First backup the database which was restored to you by your webhost to your computer hard drive. Download copy of server files as well esp. copies of wp-content folder, wp-config.php and .htaccess file
Unzip 3.0.1 and upload via FTP or cPanel to where your WP is installed.
After that, go to http://yoursite.com/wp-admin to see if you can access your admin dashboard. If so, you're done.
It is advisable to maintain your own database backup as well and not totally rely on your webhost. You can do that with cPanel or via plugin which emails DB backup to you regularly like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/

nope still 3.0.3. Hey on the download page of the subscribe2 6.1 plugin, it says it's compatible up to 3.0.3. As for the db backups, I already have that plugin.
If you already have backup of your server files as well, delete wp-admin and wp-includes folders in server, then reupload WP 3.0.1 via FTP or cPanel.

wp-admin wasn't there, I thought I already copied it to the directory. I'll get back to you either way.

I tried deactivating and deleting the subscribe2 6.1 plugin after I could login to my blog cpanel. I now have the token on my quickbar.
