Tried to upgrade, lost blog

    I was trying to upgrade to 2.8.4 last night & had to do it manually (via FTP) and must’ve done something wrong b/c now my blog & blog admin aren’t coming up & I get the following error:

    Warning: require(/home/kare/public_html/blog/wp-includes/compat.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/kare/public_html/blog/wp-settings.php on line 246

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/kare/public_html/blog/wp-includes/compat.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/kare/public_html/blog/wp-settings.php on line

    Any ideas on how I can fix this??
