I downloaded and tried to activate a Firebug plug-in (to check for any lag times with my site) and as soon as I hit “activate,” I got this message:

Warning: mysql_get_server_info(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/content/09/7290209/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1572

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/09/7290209/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php:1572) in /home/content/09/7290209/html/wp-admin/install.php on line 54

    Insufficient Requirements
You cannot install because WordPress 3.1 requires MySQL version 4.1.2 or higher. You are running version .

That’s all it says. I can’t access my wp-admin page at all and I can’t see my site anymore. All I see when I type in anything to do with my site is that page, and no other options.

Can someone please help?? How do I fix this?

I forgot to mention (in case this matters), any time I type in my .com or .com/wp-admin, it goes immediately to “.com/wp-admin/install.php”. It will not go to any other page associated with my site, and my site redirects to this page and error message only. (I’ve tried this on a couple of networks, same results.)

FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete this new plugins’ folder within wp-content/plugins.

The folder for that plugin isn’t even there, which is really strange… I’m trying to restore the whole site to yesterday but that isn’t working, either.

Update: I had to get my hosting co to remove all the plug ins in order to restore it. That worked, thankfully. Something was corrupting the main WP files.
