Support » Plugin: WordPress.com Stats » Tried out Jetpack, now WPStats won't accept API Key

  • I gave Jetpack a shot, but found that the graphs were not displaying correctly for me – they just come up blank – and just figured I go back to WordPress.com Stats. Now when I try to activate the plugin, I get the following message:

The API key “xxxxxxxxxxxx” belongs to the WordPress.com account “mranes”. If you want to use a different account, please enter the correct API key.

Note: the API key you use determines who will be registered as the “owner” of this blog in the WordPress.com database. Please choose your key accordingly. Do not use a temporary key.

It’s the only API Key I’ve ever used, so somehow, after installing Jetpack, the WP database has lost my connect to my self-hosted blog. Any ideas?
