   Hi,

   I created a new WordPress site in a subfolder of my root (i.e. /siteTemp) using Fantastico in my web host ctrl panel. I was able to go to it and see the default page, BUT now my main site (in the root) does not work! Nothing shows up, and I can't even access wp-admin. I thought WP was independent within each folder where it was installed.....

   Is your "siteTemp" installation inside the directory of your current installation?

   I have set WP up in multiple sub-folders, for several different website clients, and not had any problem.

   But I was never successful in setting up WP in a sub-folder, if I already had WP installed in the root directory. There was some sort of a conflict, but I don't know what it was.
