[resolved] Trident - "Sorry, no Posts match your criteria" flaw (8 posts)

I apologize if this has already been covered, but doing some quick searches I couldn't find the problem that I'm having.

I use a modified version of the Trident Theme (renamed RawLightning) on my blog (www.boltsmag.com) and I've found that if I click on a Category or a month with many posts on it -- the navigation that displays at the bottom of the content window only leads to "Sorry, no posts match your criteria" messages. This limits the amount of posts that show up per month / per category for someone just browsing around the site (and I've run into the problem several times when trying to find an old post I did from time to time).

I'd do away with the navigation structure if I can be sure more than X number of posts per month show up on the monthly / category archives.

Any help is appreciated (and again, I apologize if this has already been addressed in this forum).

....and basically most posts don't deal with this problem.

    I did find this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/26619

which seems to be about the problem I describe but the "Workaround" is vague at best and doesn't support my template

Can you tell me what I need to do to replicate what you see ?
I just clicked through 4 months of archives without any problems.

    Also:
    - you have a md5 script of some sort ? The url inside it needs completing (do a View Source on your page)
    - you are running 1.5.1 The latest version is 1.5.1.3 and you would be wise to upgrade.

RE: went through 4 months of post

I changed the "display post" total on options so that the last 20 posts show on the page instead of the last 14 (which I would prefer and was leading to the problem).

The MD5 script was from WP Hashcash and indeed needs to be removed entirely.

I'm actually on version 1.5.1.2 ... Though that still doesn't make it better :p

I tried the clearing of the Cache stuff and that does not help the situation.

Basically to replicate the situation: I'd have to reset the options so less posts are displayed on the front page / per page. Then click on a category / month on the left hand navigation menu and scroll to the bottom. Click NEXT. I've already gone back to the 14 posts option.

I tried a couple of months without a problem, and even paged through to here and everything looked fine: http://stonegauge.com/archives/2003/12/page/5/ .. tried in FF and IE without any problems.

What plugins are you using ?

I guess I wasn't clear: This is on http://www.boltsmag.com. Not my listed homepage of Stonegauge...
