   Hello,

   I upgraded my WP stats to 1.3.8 and after adding my API key I get the following error message:

   Error from last API Key attempt:
   Your blog was unable to connect to WordPress.com. Please ask your host for help. (transport error - could not open socket: 2 )

   What exactly can I test from server side to make sure the connection is working?

   Hi,

   You forgot to update from where you are trying to connect (a client pc behind SME? SME itself?).. if the problem is on SME, execute the internet connection test from the console.

   Hello Shane,

   the blog is running on a webserver. Version of WP is 2.7. What information do you need additionally?

   It's working. I did not change anything. May be a change on WP stats side.
