    Hi,

So currently, I am using the Duster Theme (From Automattic) on http://www.aerobeats.com . I really would like to add a transparent gap between my posts and sidebar, so you can see the background.

    EXAMPLES of this are at:

    http://www.camelbackmusic.com
    http://www.johndimick.com
    http://www.fistintheair.com

I've been looking at old posts about this subject, but I can't get anything to work with the Duster theme. Please help!

    Thank you

try and use a tool such as Firebug for these kind of formatting problems, to identify which styles to edit. http://getfirebug.com/

    http://www.w3schools.com/css/

start by removing the background color from the style of #page.
then add a background color to .post or .hentry and to .widget-area

then you will see that the formatting needs quite a few modifications to make this look acceptable - right now, there is no padding for instance on the individual post divs and on the sidebar....

helping with fundamental formatting problems is beyond the scope of this WordPress forum.
