• Hi, I have “upgraded” original plugin with yours. Improvements are experienced. Thank you!

I have done translation from included .pot file in lang directory. Saved it with my language code:*-sl_SI.mo. Leave in the same map, but translation does not show up.

    Any thought please?

Also, tags in normal post works fine, but not with FAQ posts. I am aware of “Disable built-in tag support” option – no change with checked or not checked state.

    Please help! Cheers!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I have been in the middle of a family crisis. Can you give me the URL to your FAQ so I can look at it? The disable tag support option should be unchecked. It sounds as if you can add tags to the questions. Are you using a page from the old version?

Did you make a directory in the lang folder for the .mo file, or is that in the same directory as the .pot file?

Do you have wp-config.php setup right, so that it includes the language?

Do you have a .po file?

Here are some resources that may help you get it working:

One last things. The .mo file should be named: qa_focus_plus-sl_SI.mo.

Actually, the previous suggestion might not work. Sorry, I am still new to localization. I have been looking for hours and can’t figure out why it would not be working if you are just translating the included pot file and creating a .mo file, unless you don’t have the language set in wp-config. I will still need to look at the site to troubleshoot the tags. I will make some changes to the pot file in the meantime to see if there is anything that might be causing a problem.

I am sorry to hear about some personal troubles. Hope all is well now.

“The .mo file should be named: qa_focus_plus-sl_SI.mo.” – that was a problem. Included pot file has another name or there was a wrong reference hardcoded in php.

I will check tag part later.

You really shouldn’t need to have anything before the locale. I know the PHP is fine, but I might rename the .pot file. It still uses the plugin name from before I released it. I don’t think the name of the .pot file matters, but it might make things easier if I give the text domain name, instead of the full plugin name.

Perhaps refreshing your permalinks will help with the tag problem.
