  • I’m using qTranslate. I was searching for solutions about how to implement Traditional Chinese, since qT only supported Simplified – my version is 2.5.31. But I’m still stucked!
Here is what I have done:
    1. I’m able to “Add Language” with all settings in the qT settings in Dashboard. My frontend shows the language selection with 繁體, 中文, and English.
    2. I had created zh_CN.po and .mo and saved these files in my theme’s lang folder. My theme responses to my selecting 中文.
    3. I then created zh_TW.po and .mo and saved in the same. But my theme doesn’t response to my selecting 繁體. It just remains in English.
I guess that’s qT has default Simplified setting so my step 2 works. But I need to do something to enable step 3, as Traditional Chinese is not supported by default. How? I’m using Poedit to create the zh_TW.po .mo files, and Poedit said is 100% translated. Could anyone give me some guides to set it up? Do I need to change some codes in the theme or WP?

I hope Qian Qin will consider to include Traditional for your next release. Quite a large population who are prime internet users used T Chinese. Thanks!
