    I cannot get the theme Sixteen in French.

    1. I saw the fr_FR.po and fr_FR.mo files in [root]/wp-content/themes/sixteen/languages
    2. I had the line define('WPLANG', 'fr_FR'); in wp-config.php
    3. I tried to copy the fr_FR.po and fr_FR.mo files from sixteen/languages in [root]\wp-content\languages\themes and renamed them sixteen-fr_FR.po and sixteen-fr_FR.mo
    4. I checked the Sixteen code but I’m not enough sure what to check. The firts steps describe in WP Codex for translate a theme seems to be there.
    5. I also tried with a new WordPress installation

    The “Recent Posts” is still in English. I really don’t know where to look now. Any help please?

    The .pot and .po files appear to be old.
    I solved this adding new lines from sources to .po file.
    To do that I edit catalog properties to scan theme files again and translate “Recent Posts” to my language.
    Then compile a new .mo ,in my case is es_ES.mo and put them on “sixteen/languages” folder.

    sorry I forgot… in catalog properties you must add “_e” keyword to add missing strings
