Transferring WordPress DB from Yahoo - Extra tables! Can I delete them? (2 posts)

Greetings, I am looking to transfer a wordpress MySQL database from Yahoo to a different ISP. I backed up the database and noticed that it has many more tables in the database. I am wondering if its OK to just delete the extra tables.

In addition to the 10 tables WordPress normally seems to have, it has these additional ones:

    wp_subscribe2
    INSTALL
    falbum_cache
    wp_bas_log
    wp_bas_os
    wp_bas_pages
    wp_bas_refer
    wp_bas_searches
    wp_bas_visitors
    wp_bas_ua

Incidentally, the 10 tables that I'm thinking are "normal" based on my use of wordpress at a generic ISP are as follows:
    wp_categories
    wp_comments
    wp_linkcategories
    wp_links
    wp_options
    wp_post2cat
    wp_postmeta
    wp_posts
    wp_usermeta
    wp_users

Again, does anyone who's used Yahoo know about whether its OK to delete the extra tables? I'm building this WordPress site for someone else and don't want to give them extraneas junk.

I've never used Yahoo, but a table is a table...

    falbum_cache was created by http://www.randombyte.net/blog/projects/falbum/

    wp_subscribe2 was created by http://www.skippy.net/blog/category/wordpress/plugins/subscribe2/

    wp_bas* were created by BAStats (I think) -- http://www.redalt.com/downloads/

So the question becomes, these and that INSTALL (you'll need to examine it closely) are likely junk IF you don't plan on supporting those plugins with this new WordPress site.
