Transferring Hosting- White Screen of Death (11 posts)

Hey guys I've been driving myself nuts trying to transfer this one WordPress site and I've actually already given up and started fresh, but I wanted to ask a question to make sure I haven't started fresh for no reason.

If my original database from Bluehost says the site url is http://www.dmpremier.com, is that any different than http://dmpremier.com?

When I used GoDaddy's WordPress install, I went into the database they created and noticed they used the url without the "www". Could that one little detail be what's causing my white screen? When I was trying to transfer the sites, I was still able to login to the WP dashboard, but the site itself was blank. Would I still be able to login and see all the posts and stuff like that if the site url was wrong?

BTW- I tried ALL the white screen of death fixes. None of them worked. (Changing themes, changing folder names, deactivating plugins, etc.

    Thanks

I think I'm about to just try to change it and see what happens. I called GoDaddy and the guy told me "it might" work haha.

Yeah I could still login to the dashboard. But the site itself was all white.

I'm in the process of uploading the old site now for one last try. Should be done in a few minutes. Hopefully that database correction worked.

If you can login, revert to the default WordPress theme with all plugins deactivated and see if it helps.
