Transferring content to new theme. (3 posts)

I am currently using "State of Mind" and have found that it is no longer being updated. Because I want to put a Pay Pal button on my site, I have been told I need a "live" theme for security reasons.

Can anyone give me advice/feedback on how to transfer content from my old theme to a new one? I tried to simply install a new theme, and this made a mess of my content. I also have TWO sidebars on the "State of Mind" theme that I reverted to, and this may matter when looking for a new them, not sure.

Thanks for any help in advance. Please mention the security issue with Pay Pal.

The content is stored in the database, not in your theme. The theme is the presentation (how it looks) of your site.

If you install a new theme you may need to play around with the configuration a bit to get it how you want it such as widgets/theme settings etc

Please mention the security issue with Pay Pal.

PayPal will have to take care of it, not WordPress or themes.
