• The URL associated with one of my sites (for a local business) is being interpreted as spam or porn or something by various filters. I have established a new URL into which I have installed Word Press. Is there a way to import template tweaks as well as content from the old site to the new? Will widget formatting, themes, plug ins and such also transfer? Thank you.

  • if you copy your entire /wp-contents folder to your new set up then do a phpmyadmin export/import you should be fine

OK, I did all that (as best as I could), but there remains a problem. Let me explain. I am working with a URL A registered with one company that has URL A pointed to URL B on my GoDaddy hosting server. The problem is that spam filters have been interpreting URL B as porn (it has nothing whatsoever to do with anything like that [i think it was the three letters “lbb”]. Anyway, I set up URL C, went through the import-export process, the content and database stuff all transferred over, and I pointed URL A to URL C. I noticed however when I typed in URL A that it went to URL C, but then went back and forth getting data from URL B. I parked B. It still did it. The GoDaddy tech support guy said that I probably imported back into URL C references to URL B. If that is true I don’t know how to undo it. Help?

check that both url’s are correct
