• Hey everyone,

I have been developing a page here: http://www.gadgetree.biz/wordpress/ and now I need to transfer the new format to Dnicostarica.org . Our hosting company took ONE MONTH to email me the password for the server. Now that I have it, is there any way that I can create the MySQL database without relying on them. For sure it will take another month for them to advise me on what to do next. The people at my office seem to think that it would be a good idea to change hosts, as do I, but I don’t know how to go about transfering the domain name. Any advice would be appreciated.

    elle.

  • I would be happy to see if I could talk you through domain name issues if you use the contact form over at http://htmlfixit.com to advise of particulars. I think it is off topic here.

There should be a database backup plug-in in your plug-in folder that will make a database backup. Armed with a database backup, you can reinstall whereever you like.

    … and have a look at Moving_WordPress

I tried to send you a msg. This is what I got:

Either your form: http://htmlfixit.com/feedback.php does NOT have approval to use this script or you are bypassing our spam control mechanism by not entering the proper term.

Another alternative is that you have a firewall that is blocking your authentication.
You may even be trying to log into the admin screen the wrong way.

    Thanks peeps!
