    Hi,
My client has an existing WordPress site and I will be building a new one. They want to keep their url. What is the best way for me to build the site without disturbing the existing one? Should I build it on a sub directory of my wordpress site and then transfer it? Thanks in advance for your help.

You can also develop via localhost and fool the host file.

I am doing same thing for one company,I am building site on my own domain and hosting, when he approves design and stuff,I will replace old one/move it. Not sure about it,but you I would try installing wp in sub category and then move in root. Looks pretty simple
