Transfering domain to another hosting site? Help!

    I need help, I mean, seriously needs help.
    I plan to transfer my wordpress blog to hostgator. It says that I need to change the nameserver, so I did. After I changed the nameserver from wordpress to hostgator, I then created an account in HG with this domain writeforacause.org (the one I changed nameservers). It was succesful, but when I go to its cpanel it won’t appear, instead, I was redirected to my old blog: http://writeforacause.wordpress.com/. Now, whenever I go to writeforacause.org I am still redirected to this site http://writeforacause.wordpress.com/. What I want is that to transfer my blog (writeforacause.org) to slef-host it on HG. Can someone help me?
