Transfer to new host - now showing blank, wp-admin page not displaying (6 posts)

    I just transferred to a new web host and tried to move my blog over... my blog is showing a blank page - and I cannot display the wp-admin page. It shows:

    Directory has no index file.
    Browsing this site or directory without an index file is prohibited.

    If you are the site's webmaster, you can remedy this problem by creating a default HTML page with one of the following names:

    * index.html
    * index.htm
    * default.htm
    * Default.htm
    * home.html
    * Home.chtml

    NOTE: Filenames are case sensitive, i.e., Home.html is not the same as home.html

    Can you tell me what I need to do?

  2. Try adding this to the top of your .htaccess file:

    DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm

    Compress your whole wordpress from old host then transfer(upload) to new host then decompress and upload your mysql database.

    @Blogelina:

    I'd recommend you backup the files on your server and try uploading a new copy of WordPress. This should keep your content intact, but replace potentially bad core files.
