   I have a weblog that i would like to transfer to my web site. I just bought a domain and hosting and installed wordpress 2.6 but when i try to log in with my webblog username and pass it says that username does not exist.

   I have a related problem - I already had a website, then wanted to add the blog - but the blog "took over" my website. I am an EXTREME novice, so any help would be appreciated.

   When you set it up, you should have been given a password and had it emailed to you. "admin" is always the user name. To reset your password:
   http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

   @Beckton
   Need more details in how your blog "took over the site". What did you do? Can you provide a link?
