Transfer multiple categories

    The existing categories will not change when you convert the post type. (In the database, the only things that’s being updated is the post_type column.) However, you’ll need to make sure the category taxonomy is registered to your new post type; otherwise you won’t be able to manage the categories for those posts after the conversion.
