Moving this WP from one server to another. Backed and downloaded from server #1. When I upload to new server I am uploading to the exact file name (within public_html).

When I attempt to access blog through "name" it opens what appears to be full cpanel from previous server. I must click "homedir" which accesses "public_html" which in turn accesses the blog first page. However this is now missing a few of the posts.

wp-config.php is correct and the "install.php indicates already installed. Same problem whether uploaded through ftp or cpanel. I need to know just which files I need to upload from the original backup in order to correct situation.

Apologize for the novel I have written here and thanks for help

You should really install a freshly downloaded copy of WordPress from scratch on the new server. Then add your plugins, themes, and uploads from the old version.

After this all you have to do is edit your wp-config file if your database info has changed, and your site should work just fine, if you have transferred your database properly to the new server.

Did you export the SQL file from your old database and import it into your new one? Also, when you move your site, if the domain name or directory changes, you need to make that change on your old site in the Dashboard settings, and then make a backup of your database.

Check out this article about moving WordPress in the documentation.
